Fredrik Jonsson is the Founder and Managing Partner of MEREHA, a globally recognized and award-winning advisory firm specializing in tourism and hospitality. With expertise spanning investments, development, asset management, and both branded and non-branded residential real estate, Fredrik has led projects across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.

He is also a Partner at 28 Berkeley, an investment firm focused on branded luxury hotel and residential assets and projects.

Over the course of his career, Fredrik has been involved in several landmark developments, including Atlantis The Royal in Dubai and the Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland. He is currently engaged in the development of Smokva Bay, a luxury waterfront destination in Montenegro. Fredrik also serves on the Investment Committee of Boscalt, a hotel investment fund based in Luxembourg, and on the Advisory Board of the Hotel Asset Management Association (HAMA MEA), a nonprofit organization committed to advancing hospitality asset management standards and education across the Middle East and Africa.

He is a former Board Member of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI), and has held senior leadership roles with the Investment Corporation of Dubai, ASFAR, Qatari Diar, Majid Al Futtaim, and Meliá Hotels International, where he oversaw the strategic management of multi-billion-dollar hospitality portfolios.

Fredrik also served as CEO of Gulf Film, gaining experience in the broader entertainment and cinema industry. Academically, he is a graduate of IE University in Spain and the Swiss School of Hotel and Tourism Management, and holds executive education credentials in Hotel Investment, Asset Management, and Revenue Management from Cornell University.

Fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Swedish, Fredrik brings a global outlook and cultural fluency to his work across international markets.
